Festival of Chariots (Belfast Rath Yatra) 2026
ISKCON Belfast warmly invites you, your family, and friends to the Festival of Chariots, Ratha Yatra, on Saturday, 25 July 2026, in Belfast City Centre. This celebration is proudly hosted by ISKCON Belfast, with the generous support of our valued community friends.
Please join us for a vibrant Parade of Chariots from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM, starting at Writers Square (on Donegall Street) and proceeding to Lower Crescent Gardens. Following the parade, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, enjoy a lively Festival in the Park featuring a free vegetarian feast, live music, vibrant dance and drama, and much more!
Parade Route: The parade will start at Writers Square and proceed along Donegall Street, Royal Avenue, and Donegall Place. It will continue through Donegall Square North, Donegall Square East, Donegall Square South, and Bedford Street. The route will proceed down Dublin Road, along Bradbury Place and University Road, and finish at Crescent Gardens.

- St John Ambulance Hire and On-Site Medical Support – £350
- Cleaning Supplies – £100
- Van Hire for Maha Prasadam Transport – £200
- Biodegradable Plates, Spoons, Bowls, Cups, Napkins, Gloves, Serving Caps, Trays, Water Bottles – £500
- Breakfast Prasadam for All Volunteers – £100
- A free vegetarian feast (Maha Prasadam) for around 1,000 guests, including food, cooking supplies, and utility costs, with an estimated budget of £1750.
- Flower Garlands for Dieties & guests – £300

Let us come together to glorify Lord Jagannath, Mother Subhadra, Lord Baladeva, and Sudarshan as they bless the streets of Belfast in their beautifully decorated chariot. This free festival celebration is open to all—join us in pulling the ropes of Their Lordships’ chariot, receive their mercy, and enjoy a vibrant day filled with uplifting kirtan, joyous dancing, delicious vegetarian food, and the chanting of the sacred Hare Krishna maha-mantra.
It’s a mesmerising sight and a truly blissful experience!
