His Holiness Janananda Maharaj is a very exalted devotee, travelling and preaching all over the world, the main driving force behind the World Holy Name initiative and various other wonderful projects in ISKCON. He is also member of committee for Kirtans Standards. His kirtans, harinam, spontaneous skits, realizations, scholarliness in the shastras, witty nature, humility and many other transcendental qualities attracts even the most demoniac souls to the lotus feet of Srila Prabhupada and Lord Krishna.
His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada departed from this world on November 14, 1977 in Vrindavan, India. As Srila Prabhupada explains, the appearance and disappearance of the Lord and his pure representatives from this world is a cause for celebration. While there is no need to lament the disappearance of the Lord’s pure nitya-siddha representative, at the same time the devotees feel great pangs of separation due to the manifest physical absence of His Divine Grace.
You can be part of this wonderful time in presence of our beloved Radha Madhava with our special guests on this special time of the year, earning yourself extra spiritual benefit.
Please join us for a special celebration of the Appearance Day of Lord Balaram, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and the first expansion of Lord Sri Krishna.
Date: 10 August 2014

4.00 PM: Lecture on glories of Lord Balaram
5.30 PM: Grand honey feast
6.30 PM: Evening arati, Kirtan and Krishna Balaram Katha
Whenever Krishna appears in the material world, He is accompanied by His associates and paraphernalia. Five thousand years ago when Krishna descended into the material world, He was first preceded by Balaram. Only after Balaram give His mercy did Krishna descend, such is the intimate relationship between Krishna and Balaram.
Lord Balarama exemplifies the service attitude to Krishna. His only mission is to please Krishna by rendering service to Him, whether it is in the creation of the material worlds, maintaining the spiritual world or as His personal paraphernalia.
Lord Balarama is the eternal companion of Sri Krishna. He came as Lakshmana with Rama and later as Nityananda Prabhu with Caitanya Mahaprabhu. He is the original spiritual master, and any one desiring to make spiritual progress must first get the mercy of Lord Balarama.
(Srimad Bhagavatam, Tenth Canto)
All glories to Lord Balarama!
